Every month an article will be written that will serve as the theme for what follows on this web-site and family of podcasts which we host. All five series of podcasts: Christ & Culture, The Written Word, The Audio Amateurs, Faith & Film, and Global Goldmines will further explore the topic written about in this opening article.

If you believe like we do that part of what spiritual formation is all about takes place in the arena of daily living, then the Christ and Culture podcast may be for you. By paying close attention to the eternal truths that are daily being broadcast in various cultural venues originating from around the globe, one increases his or her ability to properly handle all that is good, beautiful and true.
The word culture originates from the Latin word cultura, which had to do with cultivating or tending to animals or crops. We believe to properly understand and engage all that is good, beautiful and true in culture one must not just passively consume it, but thoughtfully engage and experience it. Living in unprecedented times when our freedom of choice knows no bounds, we hope this Christ and Culture podcast will be a pointer to a wealth of rich and vibrant cultural artifacts that are absolutely worthy of your attention and time. |

Albert Einstein once wrote - A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received -
We believe there is no greater treasure chest in our world than the one found in the dusty pages of the written word.
The first Written Word podcast of each month will be dedicated to mulling over various passages of Scripture (using The Message version) that pertain to the overall theme for that particular month. The second podcast of each month will then seek to dissect a book that pertains to this assigned topic. The third podcast of the month will then point people to various articles in print or via the web that are worthy of their attention.
The final podcast in these four-part series will then explore something written by a poets pen, whether it be short stories, various poems, or a classic novel which hopefully helps people to emotionally grasp and be moved to embody whatever sacred reality the poet has penned. The vast majority of this podcast will be dedicated to highlighting these written words, while the last 60 to 180 seconds each week will be reserved for reminding us to consider some of the various heroes that have hijacked the pages of history. |

Some are calling this generation the IPOD generation. With the recent news that Apple sold their 100 millionth IPOD, the world is beginning to feel the ripple effects from this easy-to-use technology. This little handheld device that allows the user to customize content and control the timing of when they consume this content is having some say as profound an impact on modern day culture as the Gutenberg Press had on ancient cultures.
The Audio Amateurs is a podcast dedicated to discovering caches of audio gems among the myriad of audio debris that infests podcastland. Every week, we unearth audio treasures and discuss the premises of these various highlighted podcasts. In the final 60 to 180 seconds of The Audio Amateurs we invite a Music Moment DJ for the month to usher us into this heavenly language that transcends easy explanations. |

Madeline LEngle states - An icon is something I can look through and get a wider glimpse of God and Gods demands on us than I would otherwise - I need icons and I find them everywhere. We believe that ironically enough the most compelling icons are the ones that occupy movie screens and television sets across the globe. Though there is a galaxy of mindless media garbage available for the world to consume, we believe there is also a colossal library of films that matter.
In The Faith and Film podcast each week, we contemplate a different and distinct cinematic treat. The films we analyze all relate to the overall theme for the month and cross the genre and language spectrum. In the final 60 to 180 seconds of this podcast, we direct the listener to icons that extend outside the walls of their local Cineplex. |

In the new global society we inhabit, more people than ever can travel easily, communicate immediately and access international information instantaneously. In order to fully participate in this emerging global culture, we need authentic insight to what makes the world go round. We believe its the ordinary stuff of life along with the extraordinary diversity that criss-crosses geographical boundaries that makes planet earth the place to be.
Foreign cultures all have buckets of bullion that are waiting to be discovered. Our mission on Global Goldmines is to uncover these foreign treasures. Each month we journey to a foreign region to cherry-pick what makes that region or country unique. In the final 60 to 180 seconds of this podcast, we travel to Region 180 to highlight specific places on the planet that would be worth a visit one day. |
