What is Eternal Concepts?

Eternal Concepts is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to raising up a generation that loves God more than anything else in life. In addition, EC aims to equip its students to make a difference for God in their everyday environment. Eternal Concepts does this by gathering primarily college-age students who are passionate about fulfilling the call that God has placed on their lives, and taking them through an intense seminar training environment for a one, two or three week period. Eternal Concepts conducts these various seminars in international locations around the globe.

In recent years Eternal Concepts has expanded their ministry operations to highlight various social justice issues and assist in small-scale aid to the various countries EC is working in for that particular year. Eternal Concepts is dedicated to assisting in the process of broadening people’s hearts, minds and knowledge of the needs of our neighbors around the globe.

Currently, we have an extremely small staff composed of Dave Tippit, founder and Director of Eternal Concepts, Renee Barker, producer and  co-director of the documentary film project The Bottom Line and Bethany Vega, director of EC missions. If you have any further questions about this ministry please feel free to contact us at moreinfo@thinketernalconcepts.org

EC’s Definition of Success

We pray that the students we train and whoever consumes the words we write, the audio files we produce and/or the videos we create assists them in coming closer to embodying the following words written by Francis of Assisi and/or C.S. Lewis. If this happens then we consider our work here at Eternal Concepts as successful.

Francis of Assisi Prayer
Lord,
Make me an instrument of Thy peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;
O, Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much
Seek to be consoled, as to console;
To be understood; as to understand;
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

C.S. Lewis: The Lessons of Leadership
A leader is one who values clear thinking and the ongoing process of self-education.
A leader puts high value on building meaningful friendships with those who can help him see beyond his own limitations.
A leader values the insight of wise men and women who have gone before him.
A leader is one who allows his creativity to help him see old truths in a new way.
A leader knows that pain has much to teach us and that times of struggle are usually pregnant with insights for his life.
A leader recognizes the danger of pride and the power of a humble spirit.
A leader knows the power of well-chosen words to influence the mind and move the heart.
A leader refuses to live his life based on the changeable state of his emotions.
A leader understands the value of humor.
A leader enjoys life’s pleasures without allowing himself to be ruled by them.
A leader recognizes his own sinful nature and the human propensity for self-deception.
A leader lives his life in the light of eternity.
